You have received splendid advice so far. I concur with all that has been said. Since they are still young and growing, I would probably go for the casual kilt from USA Kilts. They are a highly respected vendor on this site - although I do not own one of their kilts ... yet - and they are known to be very quick! Once you lads settle into their adult bodies, then you can invest in a classic woolen kilt that they will wear with pride for years. I fell in love with the kilt as a youngster, but it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I took the plunge.

I'll second the investigation of the "ex-hire" kilts in Gunn at Kilts4Less. Another thought would be the PV kilts at Heritage of Scotland. I've had one of their Gunn kilts in PV before: it was inexpensive, well built for the price and, with growing boys, has the advantage of straps with more than the usual inch and a half of extra space on the strap. It was more like two and a half. I only got rid of it due to weight loss and it being too large. I think Heritage of Scotland is having a Black Friday discount on right now, as well. Be sure to avoid what they call the 'Gent's' or the 'party' kilt--it's too flimsy and not well built. There, more to think about.

As for sporrans, you'll never go wrong with any of the X Marks partners listed above. USA Kilts has some nice daywear sporrans that will meet most boys' needs, except for a super dressy occasion. Also, don't forget the kilt pins!

Well done you! And don't they both look very smart? The smiles say it all - theirs and yours.
Regards, Sav.
