Kilted off an on this week (First week)

So first experience being kilted is rather a good one. I noticed that even though the weather has been rainy and 35F it's feels warmer than wearing jeans.

Got a lot of looks mainly from teenage girls (and youngersters) the lads don't seem to care either way it seems.

Few women have openly commented to me that they love the kilt.

Had a few ladies I've walked past say to their friends that they liked it (over heard them)

And yesterday I had a gentleman approach me at the mall asking where he could get one, that also happened at Whole Foods, asked me what Tartan I was sporting.

Then I got to dinner time and I went to a store out in Seattle, and my children informed me that the two Asian gentlemen that had passed were laughing at me.

So that's pretty much how this experience has gone, wearing the kilt when I can but want to try and turn it into something a bit dressier for formal events later on.

I have not bothered with pants in years, except where the kilt is not appropriate, like climbing on a ladder or getting under my car. And yeah, I find it to be much more warm than jeans. I put on a par of jeans these days and I can feel every breath of air. Don't mind the scoffers. There will be always be people who laugh at those who are different. It ain't your problem that they don't have the imagination for it.

Any day that you're kilted and 1) you forget you are and it doesn't effect any thing about your nature, and 2) people forget that you being kilted doesn't change who you are, makes the moments of daily life flow easier. Glad you had pleasant times in your plaids.

I have to ask people what are pants when they ask why I am not wearing them.
