Having just re-read "Memoirs of a Foxhunting Man", by Siegfried Sassoon and I am about to embark on re-reading "Memoirs of an Infantry Officer", by the same author.

My copy of Bivouac Prayers by my friend Douglas Babington (a Kingston ON. resident) just arrived. It is the view of my home, (Oxford, Mississippi) the US Army and young love from the eyes of a New York born son.
I find it an accurate account, with keen observation of the finer points in life, during 1942.
