F/S Matt Newsome Box-Pleat Philabeg SOLD!
Matt made this for some years back... when I was thinner! A historic style (late 18th - early 19th C.) kilt, 18 oz. Harris Tweed 100% wool, entirely hand-sewn, unpressed box pleats (pleated to the "random" which is correct for the period), half-lined with raw silk, internal "cheater" (i.e. not a period feature!) strap and buckle set-up on the left, ties on the outside right with blue fabric tapes. Tartan is Grant, or Grant-ish The Harris Tweed tartan fabric is lovely stuff, and has a coarser feel to it than the usual smooth tartan.
Condition is used, in excellent shape. No rips, tears, or stains. Some minor pilling on apron front from sporran wear could probably be razored off. Smoke-free home.
Waist: 36-38"
Length: 22"
SOLD! Thanks, Fred!
