Feathers For My Bonnets

I am looking for a source for interesting feathers for both my Balmoral and my Glengarry. I've not had much luck in finding an appropriate article. Any pointers (sources) would be appreciated. The only thing I've seen to date are varieties of 'crafted' items (leather wrappings and lacings) on eBay.

You are aware, I hope, that feathers in highland dress have significations of rank and lineage and are not decorative. That really limits what you should likely consider. There are also considerations of wildlife restrictions in many nations.

Ostrich plumes on the other hand, do not have the significance of civilian rank. a couple of them in black would do.

In the early 19th century they were used in civilian bonnets, while at the same time being worn in military bonnets where colors and numbers did have rank. This is still seen today in the feather bonnets worn by some pipe bands.
