A gift from a cousin staying with us from Mull into the New Year: Ledaig 10. Rich, peaty, sweet. I this is the only peaty one from Ledaig. Good in the gentle lead up to a fine meal.

Got a bottle for Christmas, but was reluctant to crack it open with company. Terribly self centered of me, I know, but I'm Scottish. Anyways, company left today, and I just came up from my shop (building another hot rod), so maybe I'll pour a wee dram and see what's up.

Aye! Sweet, smooth and smokey, all at once!

I just found this while editing some video this morning. It is an excerpt of the Edinburgh Tattoo back in August 2011. It seems that the officer on the left (from my perspective) screwed up - but I don't think anyone noticed... And then again it might have been the fellow on the right that got carried away!

You are probably right. Although my father, a senior Officer in the Royal Navy, was oft to point out to one and all, "there is the right way to do things and there is a wrong way to do things and then,............ there is the Royal Navy's way".

Had a couple of drams of Laphroaig 10 last night after a wonderful new years meal of sauerkraut & pork. Absolutely love that stuff!
