"No Ruined Castles" by James McGovern 1957. A book loaned to me by another avid reader, that thought I might want to know how an American diplomat "wowed" German crowds with the same speech given often over several years.

"George Washington - The Indespensible Man" a bio by Flexner. This was written few years ago, but it's very good, so far. I received 3 bios on Wash'tn for Xmas and thought the best thing to do was to read them chronologically based on publishing.

Since Christmas, or thereabouts:

The Man Who Knew Infinity: A Life of the Genius Ramanujan by Robert Kanigel. More Indian history than I bargained for, but then there's a lot of it with which I am not familiar. He was a very interesting person.

Thomas Jefferson by ***** (I can't remember, and I don't have the book with me.)

Light Falls: Space, Time,and an Obsession of Einstein by Brian Greene.

I am planning to reread The Name of the Rose soon. It's too detailed and intense for one reading to suffice.

"The Dance of the Dissident Daughter" by Sue Monk Kidd. It is an autobiographical book about her journey from the chauvinistic confines of Southern Baptist tradition, to her awakening and discovery of the "feminine divine" as she calls it.
