How to find members of the rabble in your town
Is there any way to use the Search function or something else to find who lives in a certain city. I know that we can put our hometown in as part of our profile, so can we search for it across all the members?

Near the top of every page are the menu tabs. Under "community" you will find the "member list".
Go there and search the member list using both Maryland and its abbreviation MD. You should find about 131 members who list that specif location. Of course some members prefer not to list their state and may have just entered something like US or USA. There is no requirement to list an exact location. Only as much as the member is comfortable with.

Thanks Steve. I realize that many are cautious about entering personal information but this will at least give me some of the names of my kilted brethren.
Regards,
Larry

...and they may invite others if you have a good event.

Steve, I only found a few MD members when I searched, and then I wondered - is it searching the entire 74 pages of members, or just the first page? If just the first, then must I go page my page (for 74 pages) and search, or is there is an expedited method?
Regards,
Tom

I just used the search function and found 131 who list Maryland or MD as their location.
So I guess it is searching the entire 20,000 members.

Thanks again Steve. I tried an advanced search and found considerably more. this time I searched for "Maryland" and then "MD" and then "Frederick" and found somewhat different sets for each (and also say in the Frederick search that sometimes "Md" was used so I did that too.) I was quite surprised by the amount I found!

Tom

OK, my mistake. When I do the search as the admin I see that it searches everyone. This includes spammers and those who have had their membership revoked. Those who do not show up on the member list.
If I do the search as The Wizard I get 48 Maryland and 38 MD.

That's more like what I found.
