My Kilts have arrived to the atoll.

My household goods were packed and shipped on 4 January and I departed Tacoma, Washington on 8 January and departed Hawaii on the 9th for Kwajalein Atoll, arriving on the atoll the 10th.

My household goods arrived on yesterdays C-17 flight and now I am just waiting for final delivery.

Kilt pictures will follow once I am unpacked.

    The Atoll

    Ma'am,

I am a Department of Defense Police Officer and will be here for a minimum of two years unless I extend. I flew in on the 9th / 10th on a chartered 757.

The C-17 was loaded full with five pallets of mail and six to eight large crates of household goods.

Geologically speaking there is not much to Kwajalein other than the coral. The atoll was expanded by both the Japanese and Americans during the war, which can be seen by mad made pools in the tidal flats on the Pacific side of the atoll. These pools are square, deep and host a variety of marine life.

So far my month here has been good and I have done some decent snorkeling and reefing. I dove one Landing Craft wreck on the lagoon side that is just yards from the shore in deep, 35 to 40 feet of water.

I doubt that I will be able to wear my tank here, but my USA semi traditional kilt will be worn as well as my Sports Kilts.

    Cheers

Good luck with it. I put in for a security position there in 2013. They changed the selection for that position. I was in DHS and they prioritized others.
