    No, Father Bill, your challenge, your call. I was just making an observation. There is a Scottish National tartan in several variations and creations, so you could require one of those. (Scotweb list 4 variations, but there have been earlier varieties.)
    If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

    I think, Father Bill, it is time to re-think your challenge. Clearly there is no one with a National tartan viewing this thread. It does quite surprise me as there are numerous instances of people mentioning National Tartans, especially your side of the pond.

    That was so me last weekend; I didn't think to have my daughter snap a pic. We hit the local grocery after a mountain trail hike. Daughter commented, "... so many grumpy faces." I told her, "it's the kilt." Daughter: "I didn't think about the kilt ... losers."
