It's been ordered ... now the wait ")

So, after failing miserably to reach my goal weight prior to my daughter's wedding, if chosen to purchase my first wool kilt anyway; not the tank I wanted, that'll have to await the aforementioned goal. But this should suit quite nicely for my participation award.

So after promising SWMBO that this is my last kilt purchase this year (thankfully, she did not mention sporrans ...), I have a universal "Scotland Forever" in the works that should fit in quite well with the blue and purple color scheme of the wedding. I believe what tipped permission in my favor is that the tartan was also my 'nick' when I met my bride ... she is quite the sentimental.

I can't really say I'm jonesing as I've got my Ireland's National casual kilt that has yet to be worn in public; and I do get quite frequent use from my Campbell Ancient semi trad which I love.

    Cheers

    Waiting no longer !!!

Thank you to everyone at USAKilts. My daughter's wedding is a week from Saturday and I am quite set. Received my Scotland Forever, 16oz box pleat Saturday after getting back home late that evening after a road trip to Chattanooga, TN, then date night attending the Black Jacket Symphony performing Rumors that night back home. Tried on the kilt Sunday morning, quickly before tending to urgent matters. Photos this evening. Cut some corners: no kilt pin, sgian dubh or flashes. If I spent anymore time getting dressed, I'd have lost my photographer (SHMBO) for the evening. Didn't get the sporran strap short enough, so the sporran dropped down a bit, I'll tend to that properly for the wedding, or wear straps.

Again, thanks Lucas, Rocky ... and the maker of my kilt, whose name I sadly could not decipher on the card, you did a fine job nonetheless.

As I've noticed (in many photos of new kilts) your smile is more than words can offer. I'll note that the lack of flashes and sgian does not diminish your look or its purpose. I expect the wedding will be a hit for you and your daughter.
