I'm trying to find a jacket like this for casual wear. Any tips on where I could find one online? Maybe two?

Wearing of the Kilt
As I have stated numerous times I was a member of a Canadian Reserve Highland Regiment which I joined at the very young age of 18. Going onto regular force base about Ontario Canada a Highlander in his kilt would hear a number of comments. At the nice age of almost 72 I now own my own kilt that I wear at formal occasions (dinners), on the 11th November, and at a number of legion functions. This coming year I have been asked to participate in a Remembrance Day ceremony at one of our elementary schools. I have no problems wearing the kilt and am proud to do so. I am not of Scottish decent my connection is through the military and do not feel ashamed to wear the kilt but do wish that the physical figure that once proudly wore the kilt had not put on a few pounds in the mid section and suspenders are required to hold the kilt up; so what! Whether you have a connection to a Scottish clan or a highland regiment or even a pipe band or just wish to wear a kilt. Go do it!

Anyway, these showing off type thoughts have just not entered into my mind since the age of 15 or so.
However, wearing the appropriate attire to a particular event does not mean that fun cannot be had whilst being there. This is where, for obvious reasons I think, you chaps outwith these shores fail to understand the "Scottish Cringe Factor"(S.C.F.) when I and others here question your kilt attire choices. If it gives you chaps over there any comfort there are many within Scotland these days, mainly guided by hire companies I am sorry to say, who fail to understand the finer points of when, where, why and how to wear Highland attire------or not----- or any form of attire, for that matter.
I wonder whether your neighbors to the south cringe over improperly detailed wear of the fustanella?
My buddy back east wears a kilt quite garishly. His favorite wear item is a tactical kilt in ACU camo pattern, and he both gets and returns a lot of hard stares -- some for his garb, I suppose, and more for his prosthetic leg.
He doesn't give a tinker's curse for anyone's opinion, because he's not one-footedly trampling tradition. Rather, he's wearing the most practical garb he's found for the required regular adjustments.
Where I live (i.e. greater Seattle area), there are probably more kilts worn per capita on any given day than anywhere this side of Edinburgh... very few of which are traditional Scottish wear. Most kilted guys here wear heavy cotton U-kilts with monstrous pockets over big, black boots with t-shirts. It doesn't call to me, but it's their money, eh?
We love your traditions, or none of us would be here. Of course, we also love the internet, space travel, and comfortable shoes.
As for me, I'll never water your whisky, but if you're buying you may serve it to me any way you like.
Cheers,
Jack

Like many of you, I wear my kilt as often as I can in many different circumstances, be it a formal black tie dinner or ceremonial event (such as in the photo on the left at the Garter Ceremony at Windsor Castle) or more casually for going to the pub, a restaurant or the cinema, even on the beach in the winter (as in the photo on the right). I haven't yet progressed to wearing it just around town though (there usually has to be some sort of occasion for me to wear it).
