    New Jones

A new jones has begun, I'm going to be receiving and very special kilt from the wonderful folks and USAKilts. My wonderful wife (Arboribabe) said I really should get this one and it is a gift from her. Doesn't get much better than that.

It's a secret right now but when it does arrive there will be pictures. Just waiting for the fabric to arrive right now.

Looks great ... the whole ensemble.

But now you've given me the shakes; I ordered my (Father of the Bride) kilt about a week after your order was placed ...

I have to say that USA Kilts did quite a fine job with the pleating as the variation to the sett looks rather striking, better I think than I could have asked for. How did you request the pleating? Or did you leave it to the artisans at USA Kilts to use their eye for the best finished appearance? I ask as I have seen a wildcat pleated to the sett that incorporated to wider, light brown band along the vertical and it seemed to have over accented the pattern; likely due to the double white line on either side of the brown being nearly the full width of the pleat.

So what I'm seeing is the keeping the full sett in the vertical, and losing the wide light brown along the horizontal looks terrific ... and how did you know to request that? And I must say, I'm really loving that design.
