Last Sunday ( 30th April) several thousand kilt walkers left Glasgow Green heading the 26 miles to Loch Lomond on the first of this year's Kiltwalks. They were joined at the half way stage by a few thousand more giving a final total of 7200 walkers completing the walk to Loch Lomond.
Many charities throughout Scotland benefit from the Kiltwalks that have been in place since 2011.
This year after the four walks have been completed it is expected that over one million pounds will be raised for charities.
Tom Farmer, the entrepreneur , who stepped in last year to organise and improve the walks has guaranteed to add ten per cent to all funds raised.
Incidentally Tom Farmer is the chap who is organising and bringing Barrack Obama to Scotland later this year
Next Kiltwalks is Aberdeen on June 4 followed by Dundee July 20 and then the final walk in Edinburgh on September 17
Anyway at present my blisters are getting less sore after last Sunday's enjoyable walk
