Back to my celtic/celtic rock playlist
I'm back to listening to my celtic/celtic rock music playlist on Spotify. It's called "Mike's Mega Celtic Mix." I've made it public, so I believe anyone can check it out. I've got a wide variety of music (over 2,600 tunes now). I'm no musician, but I know what I like to hear. Question: when you think of celtic music and/or instruments, what comes to mind? I like to hear highland bagpipes and drums, during a parade, but not so much as daily listening music. I do enjoy some Uilleann pipes, but with accompaniment of guitars, etc (not really by themselves). I like a little accordion music, but not from traditional "ceilidh" bands. I also enjoy some rock mixed in with celtic music. So I wanna open this up: Tell me, What are your tastes, with celtic music? Not artists or groups, so much, but what instruments do you like to hear in celtic music? What style of music? When you think "Celtic" music, what comes to mind?

i seem to always go back to my old standbys of Makem and Clancy as that's what I was exspose to by me Pop, folk music in the late 60's early 70's. Any Mewsic that has jigs & reels gets my blood flowing. I also like the earlier works (80's) of the "Touchstones" for some more contemporary tunes.
Here's one for the weavers of the world (as that's wear my interests are lately).
