    " ..I'll make an attempt..."

    Was Mon not Fri, but...

Had the AB Tartan dressed up rather well for a medals presentation ceremony we hosted. Was a lovely day so rather than stop, parked the car when arriving home and walked back the short way for mailbox pick up. On the way back to the house, head down sifting through envelopes, I hear a lady's voice say "I can't whistle, but I'll make an attempt" Looked over to see her hanging out her 3/4T window. Go ahead, I encouraged her. She was correct - she can't whistle even a squeak. We had a chuckle, I thanked her for the attempt and she drove off.

Wore the Stumptown Kilt today... admittedly I wear the Stumpy or my Mutlicam TDK (Pretty sure the "T" is for tacky, not tactical) most days.

I'll share a laugh from Thursday though. I had to run and grab some groceries. On the way in an employee is putting up carts, "nice kilt!" Immediately followed by a nearby lady on a motorized cart, "I like your little skirt!"

    It's St. Columba Day!

The Irish priest Columba who established his Abbey in Iona in the 6th century has his feast day, today. My username here as well as my surname is derived the Saint's name. So, appropriately today, I wore more St. Columba tartan design by Peter MacDonald, @figheadair single box pleat kilt made by Matt Newsome. The sporran & belts are by @artificer.

The usual comments; must be Friday and looking good. Will head down later to Park Lane Tavern for dinner & a pint.

I wore the County Meath (IRL) kilt today. One of my favorite plaids. The pic is of me completing another Friday tradition of mine.... refilling the lab's color laser printer with paper.

Today was a memorial service for one of the elders of the church I work for. Bea was a wonderful woman who left her mark on our community, she was responsible for the Out of the Cold program which helps give people a place to sleep and the churches on the hill food bank which helps to feed those same people, she will be missed. This was the outfit I decided on. I tried a tweed but it was far too warm so went with the Barathea.
