I was first introduced to Sport Kilts as a changing garment after bicycle races. After removing the bike shorts, most guys (and gals) would slip on 'regular' shorts or pants. I would get some very strange looks when I just stayed with the kilt. After getting quality kilts I use the Sport Kilts, I have 2, for 'around the house' wear only.

I have a couple. They are around the house only! Both my sons have one also, they use them for changing into different shorts at track meets! They are way too thin and poorly sewn to wear out in public! As soon as someone gets the Marine Corps tartan in PV I will be getting the boys a decent kilt!
I've survived DAMN near everything

I have 2. Only paid $25 each off Ebay, I only wear them for dirty work like painting, changing oil, etc. Not good quality at all. Both are 100% ctton so they are always wrinkled to high heaven, and anything past 4 mph wind maked them lift.

I have a USMC kilt from Alexis Malcolm, a 5 yard "hillwalker" model. Not as cheap as the PV's, but much better than a fill 8 yard hand sewn
