    Old Fort MacArthur Days 2017

I spent another day hanging out, drinking single malt, eating fish & chips, and piping at Fort MacArthur on the coast in San Pedro (California).

Old Fort MacArthur Days brings together re-enactors, military vehicle collectors, and military enthusiasts each year.

With a WWI re-enactor. (My kilt is by House Of Edgar made of the 18oz MOD style tartan, with the grass-green binding.)

Piping for scotch! With a Bren Gun Carrier on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Piping up the hill by the trees. (The pipes are WWII vintage, made under MOD contract by Starck, London.)

The inspiration for my kit comes from a number of WWII images:

(Note the pale tape on the puttees, a Black Watch thing.)

(Below, the piper is wearing the Full Dress black leather dirk belt with his Battle Dress.)
