I'm as happy as a kid a week before Christmas......my new Canadian maple Leaf tartan kilt is ready for pick up on Tuesday Morning.....I've already received the New Hunter Sporran but can't get the photo to upload, I'm still waiting for the Mustard Yellow stockings from House of Cheviot......it's my wife's birthday and I'm taking her for dinner in the capital...... When I get the whole kit assembled I'll try again ......Cheers

Just wondering, who made your kilt, is it hand or machine stitched?

I elected to have a machine stitched Maple Leaf tartan kilt made by North of Hadrian's Wall Celtic clothing shop in Victoria BC Canada....I think it was a bit less expensive than a hand stitched kilt and I think a machine sewn kilt, If done skillfully will have the stitching as undetected as hand stitching for the most part .......but I really am not worried about it. It seems from what I've read on this site semantics have a great deal to play here...as far as being able to see the stitches, I'm ok with that and I don't think it really matters to most of the general public. I'm sure the kilt maker is as qualified and as skillful as most of the other high end kilt makers I've heard about here
