FLYING JACKET.
Wanting a tough winter jacket to wear with the kilt, I took a punt on a leather one as supplied by Fort Apache here in the UK [They are sourced from the USA] and are made to the original specifications of the American, Army Air Corps.
I mention this to say that it works well with a traditional kilt, and should stand anything the British weather can offer: plus rough use.
In appearance with the kilt it is akin the British Battle Dress blouse-albeit leather.
