    It's Coming Together Nice..

I got my Jacobite (Ghillie) Shirt and Kilt Pin today. I wasn't going to wear The Kilttoday at first, but once acquiring the shirt and pin, decided to visit my Sister and get some photos taken.

The first photo is of me, standing in my Sister's back yard.

With the exception of The Hose and Flashes, which I purchased at the Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games, I bought everything at a Wee Scottish store in St Jacobs called A Touch Of Scotland.

They have an Argyle Vest and Jacket that fits to a T. It is on the Bucket List as the Tartan Kilt is the Next investment. My Ghille Shirt was made in Nova Scotia (New Scotland), which makes it all the more special as I am from there.

I like the fact that you are helping the kilt attire to evolve. They aren't exactly what I would wear but then they were your choices and I'm a fair bit older than you. I like what you have chosen, for you......... There aren't suppose to be any Kilt Police on this site .....but there are ......don't let them discourage you from making your next purchases to the next level of YOUR desire.......Well done and Good on Ya'......keep having fun with it......and I really like the dog....... he's got good taste

I am quite new to the Kilt Wearing, I'm just learning my Groove. I know I couldn't wear this Kilt the way a lot do with Boots and sleeveless T-Shirts and Scrunched Socks like you see some do. It isn't my thing, though I am the last to tell anyone they cannot wear their Kilt as they want. Even though it is only a Utility Kilt, I still want to wear it as semi dressy. Thank you Terry for the advice, I am actually pricing my Tartan Kilt now, though I know it will be down the Road. I first want the Farquharson Tartan Kilt, as my Dad was Partial to the Farquharson, My Mum was a Fraser so further down the road I will get a Fraser Tartan Kilt. I actually think the Maple Leaf Tartan, the official Tartan of Canada is quite Eye Catching, maybe get one of the Cheaper Tartan Kilts with this Tartan. Shiloh is quite the Lady, she is my Sister's dog. She was a Rescue. She does have good taste, though the first time I walked into her house with the Kilt on, she did quite a Bark, as she recogised Uncle Bill's Voice, but not the Outfit. PS I have a tough skin, as long as the critiques are honest and Helpful, I can take them. It is when they become Personal and Hateful I irk a bit.

Thanks again for the compliments and advice.

    Bill.
