David i need to ask you something...

how would my sporran be if I removed the lump of bone on the lid and put a brass button snap in its place?

I want to sit the flap down a bit more. Would this work?

It would,no doubt work just fine. However as I said before when you mentioned this.2 When you remove the bone there is two holes in the lid".

Sten Rune (My ever practical mate ) Came up with the idea of sandwiching a piece of leather Large enough to cover the holes And then the stud can be Pressed through that and the lid , If you did this in a lighter brown you could cut a fancy edge on it.Also it would make a nice contrast.

If you find this difficult let me know I don't want our first Tazmanian Customer to be un-happy
    All the Best.....David.

I love the look of Freelanders sporrans. I will be ordering one as soon as I can for wear with my tartan. I love the look of most sporrans. But a traditional style sporran just doesn't seem to fit the stying of my kilts.
So I posted two pics in the Freedom Kilts Gallery of the type of sporran I tell my customers they can do also.
I don't sell these. It is just an idea customers can use and see how it might be done.
Total cost for this rig came in at $7.35 cdn not counting the ten miutes to cut and re-sew the straps.
    Hope this helps.
