I Cannot, Not Wear It....
I am not sure if my title to this thread is Proper Grammar, but this is the Situation I find myself in. I am finding that on Friday if I don't wear the kilt, my Seniors who I take to their Day Programmes ask me "Where's the Kilt"? , or Sunday if I wear my Suit to Church. I am asked by many, "Bill, Where is your Kilt"?, or get the comment, "You didn't wear your kilt".
I keep telling everyone that I only want to wear it about every second week as I want to make it sort of a treat for my friends when I do wear it. Plus it is only my Utility/Cargo Kilt I dress up a bit with Hose n' Flashes, a nice dress shirt with a Tartan neck tie, and my Sporran. I can just "Not" wear the kilt without the Sporran. Today I got a Kilt Pin on it as well...
When my Clan Farquharson Tartan Kilt arrives in about 3 weeks from Burnett's n' Sturth, I will be able to wear the Kilt each week. In the New Year, I plan on a Kilt in Mum's Fraser Tartan, and one in the Nova Scotia Tartan. There, will be no mixing of the Tartans.. Though I believe the Farquharson's and the Fraser's did get along in the Highlands.. Both fought on the same side with the Jacobite Rebellion. And searching the Internet didn't seem to bring up Hostilities between the two Clans...
