But I've noticed on this one that the Royal Blue and red look like Marine dress pants. So why not a Royal Blue kilt with only two red pleats where the stripes would be on Marine Dress Pants, then the Leatherneck Tartan for all the other underpleats??
Hmmm... that sounds like something Pittsburgh Kilts would be able to work up for you.

Thanks JerMc,
There be a few Marines on the board for sure.
I kinda got sucked into the USMC by way of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets (not the Sea Scouts), and Navy ROTC, so I'm comfortable with things Navy.
In fact, wore a bridge coat to work today. Remember them well from NROTC days (40 years ago).
Anyhow, seems the Marines always seem to have some officer/recruiter infiltrating those Navy type programs and encouraging kids to slip over to the Corps. Worked on me...some folks think that's a sign of intelligence...others have the opposite opinion.
Whichever,
Semper Fi,

I was out grocery shopping at a local supermarket and an old Marine (from "The 1st Battalion," he said) stopped to ask me about the camo UK I was wearing. He said he hadn't seen one in 30 years. He got all misty.
I told him about 1st Sgt. Farr and the effort that went into getting him kilted. He says, "Thanks."
I gave him a UK card and he's off and running to load up on kilts.
He also liked the "Protect Your Nuts" t-shirt and told me a funny story about he and his wife visiting a nut shop in Canada and getting their picture taken under a "Buffalo Nuts" sign.
Those few minutes more than made up for a year's worth of "hey, nice skirt" comments.

My Post Deleted?
Hey Hank,
Yesterday afternoon I posted a harmless one-line comment in this thread, but it has disappeared, as has the post I responded to! I forget who posted that one, but it included a suggestion that Ron might find an umbrella to match his new tri-tone coloured kilt.
Were our two posts 'moderated', or am I imagining the whole thing?

My apologies to Hank for thinking he might ever do such a thing!
