The cheapest I know of for an RAF tartan Kilt is about £400. That's with Scotsweb.

Note, you have to search for Royal Air Force not RAF.

I note on their XMarks it says 10% of for XMTS members, If that applies to Kilts I don't know..if it does that would bring it down to £360, I believe they will supply cloth for you to make bits and pieces from.

(The Letter stating My RAF pension has started arrived yesterday, so the first 2 or 3 the payments will be going towards an RAF kilt. I'm just trying to decide Whether to go to Scotsweb or Mactartans the orginal licencee )

I would think the Scotweb discount wouldn't be much of an offer if it didn't include kilts. I do know that when I got my Scotweb kilt several years ago, they did give me a discount for being a member of another kilt forum. So I would expect the same would apply to X Marks members.

And both tartans look great. And I can think of few more meaningful connections than "it's my wedding tartan."

If you look at the Scotweb advert near the top of the page here, it says clearly that there is a 10% discount offered by them to Xmarks members.

Exactly why, in my newbie ignorance, I ordered a similar 'pattern'. Hey ho! I might win the lottery and get the real thing!!!

...and yes, I did search for Royal Air Force. Congrats on your new pension!!!

USA Kilts has the RAF and RCAF. I don't think it would be more than £360. Maybe less.
American by birth, human by coincidence and earthling by mistake.
