    ELY, this may just be informational, or it might be bad news, but if you ordered an econo-kilt you might want to confirm what fabric it is made from. It may be acrylic or polyester-vicose (PV) rather than real wool. If you want wool, you may need to change your order.

    It is acrylic, but I knew that. First kilt, and all that. I wanted to make sure we got one for the price we can afford, with all the matching bits (hence the two purchased) In the coming months I will be scouring the second hand sites, and should one in the right tartan pop up, I will snag it!! But this is a 'security blanket'.
    I am also looking in the local fabric shops, should the right wool tartan show up. If I get the fabric, the cheap kilt will be used as pattern.
    When the budget is as frugal as ours, you gotta be especially flexible.
