My solution, a sharp knife, and off with their heads.
I hate things dangling and banging around on a sporran.

The tassles on my Rob Roy do make a noise when I walk with it worn the traditional way, but it is much more civilized and even enjoyable.

sporran tassles
Didn't I recently see sporrans on the net which have tassles already fixed in place? (so they cannot swing)I bought a budget sporran to start and it is the first one I've ever seen made without tassles. I've gotta say it looks kind of bare and utility. - Alan
