Depends on whether you want to take the piss or not. Might be interesting to wear the Irish National tartan. 
This is long forgotten! Horse racing in England does have a lot of Irish horses, trainers and owners.

Not that I’m going kilted or anything, I just find the thread interesting and wanted to clarify.
The Royal Enclosure dress code is only observed during Royal Ascot in June, the rest of year meetings take part in the Grandstand. FYI I believe Highland dress is perfectly acceptable in the Royal Enclosure as long as you qualify to wear national dress ie. you are either a member or invited as an honoured guest by a member of Royal Ascot and you are of Scottish descent - how the latter is supposed to be proven is another matter! I'm afraid I'm not sure the official standpoint on carrying the sgian dubh though.
