The bus driver

Yesterday when I took the dogs out for a walk,there was a bus at the bus stop with its doors wide open just waiting for its alotted time to leave. As I went passed the driver called out with a cheeky smile on his face 'nice skirt'. I stopped, smiled and asked him 'do you think the colour suits me'. He smiled again and gave me the thumbs up. We both said cherio and I went on my way. Derek

Derek, this just reinforces the argument that most of our initial fears of possible ridicule are in our heads. I think I've only had one negative reaction (from a very old lady) whilst there have been a number of positive ones. Only yesterday I was out walking part of The Wolds Way here in East Yorkshire when a chap also out commented "You don't see many kilts on the Wolds - looks good!".
