Trying out a new style this afternoon, alas, I can't manage to get a picture in here so, I'll link to dropbox if you care to have a look.

Looks great! (I have those same sneakers!) It took me forever to get pics to upload. Eventually I figured out I had to crop most of them for file size, then the little image upload icon worked well for me. Best D

It's a fine figure of a man you present in that outfit!

My eye caught the waistcoat, and how it's not exactly cut on the bias, i.e., that is at a 45 degree angle. It looks as though the tailor wanted to accentuate the "V" look created by the sett in the front. Interesting! Also, does anyone have any idea what tartan that might be?

Personally, I would call boots worn with the kilt as a more of historical thing, or in some cases, a modern use with kilts and unless worn out in the field for country sporting usage or for military usage, I don't think boots worn with the kilt could really be described as "traditional" civilian kilt attire.

Hmmm, interesting. Where does historical end and traditional begin?

Difficult, impossible in fact, to be precise I think. Perhaps, pick a year between 1918 and 1939 would be probably a fair estimation, in my view.
