That is gorgeous, and I wish I had one! But, I agree with Father Bill. It won't give you the flexibility to wear to most any daytime event that a basic Argyll, or one like he's wearing in his photo, or the kilt-kut jacket would. There are many- maybe most- daytime events at which that would look a bit too formal.
Therefore, my suggestion is..............................buy one of each!
