Well, this place is boring remember? All this talk of sexy lasses was getting all of us red blooded kilt wearing manly men all hot under the collar.
I had to cool it down to preserve the atmosphere.

i have similar warmers, without feets, that i wear with usual socks- so no more sewating in my boots
those you refred are quite cheap, i would buy them

Just for interest the socks without feet are 'hose tops': to be worn with shorts/kilt and army boots. In English units the turn over bit would be in the regimental colour. Then puttees round the ankle.
If really cold/snowy-would not gaiters or puttees be better?
For those leg warmers look as it they would attract snow-and be horrid when things started to thaw out?

I'm thinking about making some knee high gaiters. I'm considering usingsomething like gortex and lining the part above the shoetop with fleece.

yes that would be hose tops, but mine are in plain black.
i canīt see me sitting in classroom with gaiters on. but i have to wait for our snow, until now our winter is quite moderate just 0 C.
