Thinking of heading down to WalMarche and betting some of those iron on patches and covering the backside of the snaps within range of my "fire helmet" to avoid sudden grimmacing in public
Any other suggestions or experience...besides wearing a bifurcated garment under the kilt??

You can but thin, very soft, self adhesive felt discs for putting under ceramic and wood crafts, so they don't scratch nice furniture. They can be found at craft stores.
