Patience when ordering from Scotland, but just think how much you will enjoy wearing the flatcap when you get it...patience.

After looking at the Glengarryhats.com website, it appears that the hats are shipped from Malta...
For future reference, I've been able to get Robert Mackie bonnets from J. Higgins (in Lexana, KS) in about a week's time.
Hope you receive it soon. I believe the bonnet you ordered is identical to the one often worn by Tobus!
Cheers,

Yes, I believe it is. Mine's a bit faded from 'jocking' it and then wearing it in the Texas sun over time. But it's my favorite Balmoral.

If only they were custom-making the Balmoral to your personal measurements...

Actually, your avatar is what gave me the idea of the Balmoral, I was hoping it would be the same one, it looked like it to me.

I have exactly the same balmoral, and I'm really happy with it. Other things that I've ordered from your supplier took a while to arrive, but I was happy with them when they did.

When the hat gets here I intend to add a badge or pin of some kind. Since I have no known Scottish heritage I thought maybe a Welsh dragon would be nice. This one measures 1-3/4 X 1-1/8 . If anybody has a better idea please let me know.

sometimes
It use to be that a clan or area affiliation was shown by a sprig of greenery rather than a clan badge. If you have no other clan affiliation you could always use the DANDELION, It is the XMTS affiliation signifier and if you did wear one at any gatherin' any another XMTS member will recognise you .......just a thought

Excellent idea Terry, I'll probably do that at the Highland games, but I won't wear a dandelion to McDonald's though.

What vendor is selling this pin? Having both Scottish AND Welsh ancestry, I'd like to sport one of those myself.
