I posted a February image for National Tartan Day in other places, in reality this was as exciting as things got this Friday during a brief 10 minute walk!
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Kilted Friday Meets Tartan Day
With Tartan Day being on Kilted Friday, I guised up my office attire to smart day wear with a charcoal Crail jacket, waist coat and bowtie. Had one resident's daughter, a physician who can to the office and was quite curious with a number of questions.
My local, Park Lane Tavern celebrated Tartan Day with Scottish beer pints and Scotch Eggs for $5. The Tavern before had been a British Pub so the staff who still had theirs wore their kilts.
I had posted a meet up here and Craig Forester came and another friend of ours Dennis Buchannan. A cracking good time was had!

Wore the Isle of Skye yesterday, with a white button-up, grey waistcoat and bow-tie. It did well for a little, private, memorial service that our family held in the afternoon. It didn't look too bad either for the much lighter occasion of an evening out with the family, a special trip just for cupcakes! My wife informed me that I garnered quite a few looks through the window of the sushi restaurant as we passed by (though I can't say if they were in wonder, befuddlement, or amusement). The evening was completed when I found a new waistcoat (finally one with a proper back, instead of one designed to be worn under a suit-coat) at a nice discount.

Kilted on a Friday and Tartan day, cold and rainy in Reno.

Summer Sun?
Although it is still Spring, we have had summer weather for the last couple of days, so one has to get out to make the most of it. Living here, you realise this might be as good or better than we get it throughout the coming summer months!
Although it looks dry, a lot of the ground is still muddy and boggy and the sandals I'm wearing are ideal for this - modern day ghillies' shoes, with lots of holes for the water and mud to run out as in fact it had several times by the time I'd got to where the picture was taken.

Finally! Weather that allows for casually attired without jumper of jacket. AB Modern today, with a long sleeve and my from-a-Fossil purse sporran. A belt today also. Not a usual item, but seems to set things off just right - and a place to clip my facilities pass

Aye, @008kilts a Spitfire, year 75. Acquired her through a raffle at the local Salvation Army Thrift Store nearly five years ago.
