That is a very good point Mychael and one that I've thought about for a thread. When a guy decides to go over to the kilt as a daily garment, he already has many friends who are used to him in his previous life. Before Kilt (BK,- can we start using that like BC, or AD? eg;- 3 years BK, got it?) Now with the women in our lives, I think we know that they are going to take to it like ducks to water, but the guys have a problem. And so how do we handle this, do we warn our buddy before we meet for a pint at the pub that we will be wearing a kilt and ask him how he feels about it? Or do we go further and volunteer not to wear it on that occassion? Now, that is defeating our whole purpose and not being true to ourselves, but on the other hand we cannot expect the minds of our male buddies to keep pace with our own, and suppose they genuinely would be embarrassed in a public place? Do we go as far as to say: "this is the new me, take it or leave it!" In other words are we prepared to abandon previous friends made BK who will not accept us in the kilt? Finally, after a "shakeout" things will settle down but it's an interesting point on how to handle this problem. thanks,- Alan
