I simply fold mine into 3 sections and lay them into the drawer. I have never had any trouble with doing it this way. Here is my drawer.

Folded and squeezed into a draw that is probably too small.

I have a kilt bag from Order of the Gael that has compartments for a variety of kilt accessories. It has pockets for sporrans, loops to hold belts, a special kilt hanger that also holds my Prince Charlie jacket and vest. In the bottom of the bag is a wide zipper compartment for holding hose. I simply fold them over once and they fit fine in there.

Sometimes I lay them flat and roll them like a knit tie (or a Swiss cake roll). That works well for storing them in a shoe or boot when I have to change from some other outfit into my kilt when I am away from home.

I don't fold over the top except when wearing them.

I keep most of my knitted wool clothes in one drawer; pullover sweater, cardigan. Kilt hose go in there loose on top of the folded sweaters which I don’t wear too often here in San Diego. I only have three pair so it’s not a huge mess.

I fold and store mine just like sailortats demonstrated in his photo. I also fold my woolen garter ties and neatly lay them in there next to my hose. I keep small blocks of cedar in there with them to ward off moths.

My band PM had suggested laying on one top of the other and rolling them. If store in this manner, the roll usually lived in the small duffel bag that was my band "kit" bag; I tended to keep all of my band stuff together in there so I always knew where suspenders/hose/balmoral/tie/etc. were.

But frankly, since I don't really have multiple pairs, my dance hose and sometimes my band hose hang over the top of the kilt hanger with the appropriate kilt. This could, of course, be done with a couple pairs as well.

Mine are in a pile with the garter ties, I can't believe how organized some of you are, or how unorganized I am.
