My day was almost a let down.
I raised the flag, wore my kilt, sent out emails to friends, tried to organise a few friends over for drinks to celebrate, no one was interested!
No mention of St Andrews Day in the media....all Australians want to celebrate is their wretched football or cricket team.
I got very saddened about the lack of culture in this country.
Anyway, after scottish country dancing tonight I talked the lasses into coming over to an Irish pub for a drink. We had 15 minutes to down a guinness - the pub closes at 10pm!!! and we were the ONLY ones in the pub!!
Then to McDonalds for tea and coffee, then to a mates place for a couple of drams.
Not a waste after all, but close!
