New 5 Yard Clergy from USA Kilts
Today was the day, my first "true" so to speak, kilt was ready for pick-up. Now, I've been very pleased with my Casual Kilts from USA Kilts, but the high-quality wool tartan and the extra craftsmanship that go into their five-yard kilt really set it apart. Lucas called me in Saturday for a remeasure, it'd been nearly nine weeks, and I've lost at least twelve pounds since I placed the order. The fit could not be more perfect, Breandan did a superb job measuring, cutting, stitching and pressing. I'm proud to be wearing a superb piece of craftsmanship, made in my own back yard.
The tartan is Clergy Ancient, 16oz woven by Locharron. I opted for a less common (at least from what I've seen) in which the thin stripes light blue, rather than the very light grey I see more commonly. I couldn't be more pleased with the tartan or craftsmanship, and as a clanless American, who has quite simply fallen in love with the kilt, it is special to have a tartan which represents me.
My many thanks to the fine staff and craftsmen at USA Kilts. And to you here, for being such fine people and helping me as I find my way through the world in a kilt!
*The tie represents the typical Clergy Ancient with the light-grey lines. Forgive my, perhaps garish taste.

Nice clean look, which could be upped for more formal events with very little effort/cost. Congratulations on the outfit, hope you get loads of opportunities to wear it.

Looking good, love the tartan! I also agree with your review of the staff, they're pretty awesome!
Never run or do jumping jacks while wearing a heavy sporran

If by garish you mean comfortable shoes, all is forgiven. Good look.

Looks good!
I like the simplicity of the charcoal waistcoat and black sporran.
Well done.
