Trying to ID Tartan on Craigslist ad

Just saw this on craigslist - Spokane https://spokane.craigslist.org/clo/d...650961462.html I can't figure the tartan by visually scanning the Scottish Registry, but that's me and I'm new to this.

Description from Craigslist

"This Kilt is in excellent shape, made from 9 yards of tightly woven wool, notice the pleats.

Ad is asking $140

If you are in Spokane area don't let my interest in it stop you from looking. I'm 180 miles away, and I'm not sure I like the colors. I did email the seller to get length, tartan name, how he/she determined waist size.

Thanks for the quick reply. So I'm looking around the web and trying to determine if its a "universal tartan" but it isn't working for me. How would I determine if it is?

(I am 50% Murray, but it's Irish, and do not have genealogy info that would let me search a family tree. I am disinclined to a Scottish clan specific tartan, if for no other reason than I would not know how to explain my wearing it.)

Methinks there are few tartan police in your part of Washington. Let alone any who would stop folks on the street and demand to know their lineage and "right" to wear a tartan.

Enjoy the tartan kilts you like. Most folks have no clue.

Few of us ever flush out our family tree completely so chances are you've a member of the House of Gordon lurking in your family tree - you've just not found him yet.

Technically it's a clan tartan and if you wore it in Scotland people might assume that you were a Gordon. As Riverkilt has observed, views in the US (and eslewhere) are a little less ridgid.
