I'll be convening the Clan MacCallum Malcolm Society tent. Always a great weekend of camaraderie with the XMTS rabble. The wee XMTS quaich will be filled for all who come by.

This is the closest event that Clan Macneill sets up a tent. I went Sunday last year (it rained Saturday) and it was a small turnout. I'll try to make it Saturday this year.

If we luck out during this monsoon of a summer here in Northern Virginia, you will see and influx of people to the point you better decide to get something to eat by 10:30 AM as the lines are horrendous by 11:30 AM. So many people, but yet the event is great and so much fun. I think you will enjoy yourself, so say a little prayer to St. Andrew for fine weather and fair winds. Cheers.

So how many are you will go to the Virginia Scottish Games this year. This is a very large event, with so much going on, I just don't understand why more from this forum do not attend, so state if you have plans. I will be there both days, with my cousin Patty who is flying down from Boston just to attend, and my wife. Will be at the Clan Donald tent, Saturday, and Sunday at the Scottish American Military Society (SAMS) Tent on Sunday.

My sweetie, @carolinanan117, and I are planning to attend. We'll be hanging-out at the Clan Sinclair tent.

It's been a long time since I've posted. I used to be a regular, but since 2012, I learned ventriloquism and been busy with that. My puppet, "Rudy" attends the Niagara Celtic Festival with the Clan Claus Society. Last night I received notification of a post and I clicked on it and did a reply. This morning I saw the post about the Virginia Games, just had to reply before going to work.
I enjoyed the years I attended while traveling north in our motorhome from summer job TN to home in PA. This is the fourth year our summer job is in Northwestern New York state and lasts till after Labor Day when we move a short distance to the Niagara Celtic Festival on the shore of Lake Ontario. We participate with the Clan Claus Society at their tent.
I tried to attach a photo, but i got a message, "it failed".

My understanding is they have got a great response this year and tickets are selling at a good rate, its about time this event catches on. Last year it rained on Saturnday so difficult to gauge, but Sunday it was elbow to elbow. Expect Saturday, providing weather is good, the afternoon will be busy. I hope we have nice weather, even a little rain in morning clearing by 11:oo would be fine, just like the Highlands.
