I really like the look of the kilt paired with the Ike/Eisenhower jacket as mentioned by Thompson (and which can be seen in the infamous Remembrance Day photo... http://www.snopes.com/photos/risque/queen.asp ).
Point of clarification: the jacket in the infamous photo is a No. 2 "cutaway" dress tunic -- the "Ike Jacket" (Battle dress blouse to the Brits) is actually a short "shell jacket". with a built-in belt.

The No. 2 is shortened to show the pleats, and "cut away" in the middle so as not to cover the sporran.

No offence meant, S_P, just pointing this out to help anyone looking for an Ike Jacket.

As far as a black one, I don't know of any -- the British, Aussies, Canucks and Yanks had Olive Drab and/or Khahki, although the Royal Navy had a dark blue one and the RAF a blue one, as well as the US Air Force.
