Wisconsin Highland Games - Aug 31 - Sep 2
If any of the Rabble happen to be in the Upper Midwest on Labor Day weekend, I’d love to meet you at the Wisconsin Highland Games.

I will be there all day on Saturday, September 1 helping man the recruiting booth for the Priory of St. John the Baptist, many of whose members are active in the Milwaukee Scottish community.
The Priory is the Wisconsin chapter of an international chivalric and charitable order. I serve now as Chancellor of the Priory and will lead as Prior starting next year.

You might also find me walking around the Games, enjoying the heavy athletics (and the fried delicacies which are our heritage).
Hope to see you in Wisconsin!

I will be there as well. As will WARPIPER. Even though he doesn't come here very often anymore. :P
You'll notice me right away in my improbably vivid Armstrong modern acrylic 5-yard that looks as though someone emptied a whole can of starch on it. :P

I won’t be hard to spot, either, as I’m 6’6” tall and will probably be wearing a lovat green Argyll with my Ancient MacKenzie kilt. 😁🏴

I'll be there as well, spending most of my time in the civic center building.

Will you be in a particular booth or area within the building?
I'll look you up!

I'll be one of the vendors in the building (ID withheld to avoid conflict of interest). Just look for an older bearded bloke in a Mackenzie. Do I detect a theme here?

Looks like I'll now be attending the opening ceremonies on Friday, August 31 in addition to spending the day at the Games on Saturday, September 1.
According to the website, Friday evening includes the usual opening speeches, a torchlight procession, the gathering of the clans, and a ceilidh. I understand from a friend that the food is pretty good, too!

Sounds like Imbrius, Warpiper, and MNLad might be there. Anyone else from the Great Rabble of X-Marks?

Friday or Saturday
In all honesty, I'd love to go both Friday and Saturday. I really want to see the opening ceremonies and procession. But I also want to shop the vendors. The question is whether or not my wife will want to drive to Waukesha (19 miles for us) two days in a row. :/

You could tell her, "At least we're not driving 124 miles each way and paying for a hotel room on Friday night like this one guy I know."
And parking is free for the Friday night events.

Rodger,
I may get down on Sunday. I am out of town (Jacksonville, FL) next week on business. I'll be traveling back Saturday. I always enjoy the games and music.
