Firefox
Hey guys. I never have this prob with IE but I am having an issue with Firefox where I am not able to see the green dots for new posts.
I know some people have had this issue before and with IE I know how to fix it.
Does anyone know how to solve this with Firefox?

As someone who is using firefox right now and having no problems seeing the green dots, I can only offer my affirmation that there is light at the end of the non-green-dotted tunnel.
Maybe something to do with cookies staying around too long, or... something. I guess anything I have to offer won't be much help to the guy who designed the gal-derned site, eh?
good luck.

I'm having the problem with IE. I'm using version 6.0.8xxx.
I though it might be due to the spyware or anti-virus or the software firewall or the hardware firewall or the window-washer or anti-spam or anti-hacker software I use to protect Windows from itself.

Don't know about firefox, but I use an older version of mozilla, and I only see green dots it I access the site from an e-mail stating a topic I'm watching has a new message. If I just go here from the web, I get nothing even though I'm told I'm still logged in.

Using Mozilla 1.3.1 on a PowerMac 9600. Works fine. I've had issues with IE, where it'd say that my last visit was when I was visiting at that moment. Would never show new posts. Switched to Firefox 1.0PR on that computer, and it works like a charm.

Happy to see you guys are catching up with me! I've been using FireFox (FireBird) for about a year. If you are having problems with Firefox one thing you can do is rename the FIreFox directory and download a new version and install a fresh copy. There could be several reasons for the problem from incomplete installation to modifications to the PREFERENCES (go and select DEFAULT where you can).
Another question is "do you always login?" The green indicators don't show up unless you are logged in. Now this gets you to the server....if you are logged in and still can not see the indicators then it could be a cookie issues and that the MySQL on the XMarks server might be having problems reading you (cookies, firewall protections, browser issues). Another fast way is to check is the "View posts since last visit". If you can hit this (right hand corner on the main page above the forum listing box) and see the post then the problem could lay with your system. If this is not available then there could be a problem with the SQL logging for your account...and finally if you don't see the "View posts since last visit" there might be a problem with the account....Just a bunch of guesses!
Also, I assume you, like 85% of the people, are using a Windows based system and Firefox is loaded on this. This is where I made the comment about finding the Firefox Directory and renaming it and reinstalling. Firefox is a run from directory under standalone portable operation (you can even burn it to a CD and RunLive from the CD on another computer).
OK...maybe too much information but first check login and the "View posts since last visit". Then rename and reinstall Firefox. If this does not work then it is probably server side....again just a few guesses.
