I used to have a grudge against the black kilt hose. I think it was from seeing too many old men around wearing shorts, black crew-length socks, and sandals. :P NASTY!!!

Recently, I've seen some black kilt hose in various places, and I'm really growing to like them. I agree that they add a certain "formal" flair. Then again, in Idaho, wearing a tie is a formal affair.

As for the flashes, I think that it could go either way. You could look at the ancient green as being a continuation of the main colour onto the lower part of your legs, thus adding a sense of visual balance. On the other hand, if you're going with the ancient red, it's more of an accentuating accessory, and can help add a certain flair to the entire package. In short, I guess I'd have to see them with the full regalia, and then make a decision. Hmmm....guess that wasn't very helpful, was it.
