I've had two-ish hernia repairs. Post surgery, trying to put pants on with a freshly stitched gash where one bends, was a nightmare. A kilt, would have made life much less painful.

I can say, from experience, it certainly does. I had no problem, went out walking every day and nothing bothered the scar.

An off day from the day job. Out early for shopping in my USA KILT casual in Malcolm tartan. Came home switched in to a 5.11 Tactical for a bit of yard work and schlepping gear from the shed to my car. A quick shower and back in the USA Kilt for a 3 hour drive to Salem, Virginia for the Green Hill Highland Game. Grabbing a Subway sandwich for dinner one of the gals working there said "you're rocking in your kilt!"

Relaxing now in a Sport kilt casual as I type this.

On Friday (8.24.18) members of the OSU pipes and drums were "kilted" from 12:00 noon to about 8:00 PM, as we all played at two (2:00 and 7:00) graduations at the OSUIT campus in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. We were lucky enought to have the OSU's college mascot (Pistol Pete) show up, and share the event with the graduates family members an graduates.

We are all wearing 18 oz. kilts in the OSU tartan, pleated to stripe. These kilts weigh about 5.25 pounds each, and were made by Barnett, and Strouth of Canada.

Today, I start my 2nd week of kiltedness. Tomorrow is my last office day before I begin my 4-day Labor Day Weekend. Here are my pics from my Clan Tent convening at the Green Hill Scottish Games in Roanoke County, last weekend. A really fun time! This weekend I'll be convening our Clan Tent at the Virginia Scottish Games.

My first kilted Friday at work! Actually, it's because I'm going to the Wisconsin Highland Games opening ceremonies right after work today. But it still counts!

I wore my MacKenzie weathered kilt (Marton Mills Jura made by me) on my monthly trip to RAF Menwith Hill in Yorkshire. I am retired from the US Army so I can go to the bases and shop, use facilities, and get medical/dental care. It's the closest American base to where I live in Lancashire, UK so I go there each month for the commissary. I go to RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk for the larger/better facilities about 2-3 times a year. I wear my kilts down there as well.

There are some nice things in Suffolk and the area, but I actually live up north in Lancashire which is 3-4 hours from Suffolk.
