No thanks!
Ha, well, I figured it out. Somehow I ended up on the .co.uk site instead of the .com site. But I just ordered two more tattersall shirts from the .com site, and shipping was $10.
So I ended up with one each of the Holme, Rydal, Fairford, and Sterling shirts. These will see regular use at the office (with trousers, sorry), but also do kilt duty.

Just a public service announcement. Samuel Windsor has further reduced some of their shirts to clearance prices.
Rydal tattersall shirt (long sleeve) is currently £9.99, or $12.82 US.
Fairford tattersall shirt (long sleeve) is also £9.99, or $12.82 US.
There are others too, but these are probably the most traditional-looking tattersall choices in my opinion. Check out some of their other sale items, too, like trousers, shoes, and jackets/waistcoats (sorry, none of them are made for kilt wearing, but still very handsome for regular wear with trousers).

Thanks Tobus, I got an early email from them last week telling me about the further drops. When I went to purchase they were charging double the price for 2 shirts because it was a heavy item, so cancelled, they seem to have sorted that now so the shirts are a bargain.
P.S rydal was one of my choices as well.

Just to add some balance to my opinion, a neighbour told me that he has bought some of their shoes and they have been very good and long lasting, so perhaps they have resolved the quality issues, he has even had one pair resolved with no problems.
I've been thinking about your reply, and must admit I'm a bit conflicted on whether to buy shoes from Samuel Windsor. They have some fairly good deals going on, and I'm intrigued by their "Prestige country boots" to replace some old Ariat low-rise laceups that I've completely worn out.
These are from the SW USA site which are not as good of a deal as they have in the UK, but the shipping from the UK makes that a deal-killer.

They appear to be well-made, and with a Goodyear welt they can be re-soled if it becomes an issue. For under $100, I'm very tempted. Does anyone own these boots? Are they good quality?

Those look nice and a good price! I have some similar Red Wing "brogue rangers" (in picture) I wear to highland games when kilted. They were a gift or I couldn't have justified the price.

If you order, would love to have a review as I'd like to put a brown pair on my family holiday gift list.

I just ordered a pair of the SW Prestige country boots in black. I really wanted brown, but they were out of my size and my wife likes the black ones better anyway. I'll post a review once I get them.
