Wool Kilt Jacket Lovat Green Tweed size 38R $75

Wool Piper's Jacket
size 38R
$75 shipped to you in the continental U.S.
Lovat Green
100% Wool with Viscose Lining
Buttons are antler type: Dark Brown stag horn with a white backing
Its a lovely jacket and I wish I could wear it. Alas, my stomach forces
me to wear a 40R. I would rather not endure the torturous regimen that
is dieting to shrink down to a 38.
If nobody wants this jacket, I can surely pass it along to my son. It looks
great with our family's Cameron tartan. It also works well with many
weathered tartan fabrics. I like it paired with red based tartans the most,
but it is equally at home with several blue and green based tartans.

Hi Curtis,
I did just buy a blue/green tweed jacket at the Pleasanton Highland games, but they didn't have my exact size (38R) so I went with a 40L. I'm still interested though. Do you happen to know the maker and why it's considered a pipers jacket?

Sorry for the tardy reply. It is an Argyll jacket. I call it a Piper's jacket in the description, but it is an Argyll jacket. There is no maker's information inside the jacket. There is a tag that says 38, the jacket is 100% wool. Lining is polyviscose. I can take photos of the tags if you would like. The jacket is from the U.K.. That is all I know about the jacket. I really need a 40 R sized jacket. The 38 doesn't fit me as comfortably as I would like. I am open to trades or a sale of the jacket. I actually like it quite a bit. If I lost a bit of weight, it would be perfect for me.
If you are interested in a direct swap, post a photo of your 40R. I usually don't go for the darker and single colored dark green jackets. I like the character of the tweed so much.

Would you mind measuring the sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff?

The jacket has flat epaulets rather than the braided style.

I'm definitely interested whether we do a trade or not. I'll personal message you details. Thanks
