I was lurking about Ebay, yesterday. If memory is correct, there were a couple of Argylles, size 46. Going for good prices. Some would call cheap.

Happily for the OP size 46 isn't all that rare, with vintage tweed kilt jackets on Ebay.

Here's one super cheap, looks like charcoal grey. I would make sure that it's 46UK, because French sizes run completely differently.

I wish it was that easy for me! I need 50R and one comes up every couple years. (If you're 38 or 40 one comes up every five minutes...just kidding.)

If the jacket option doesn't work waistcoats are far easier because you don't need kilt-specific ones. The last time I was in a shopping mall I saw several tweed-ish waistcoats that would be perfect for kiltwearing at low prices ($30 to $50).
