Eisenhower Jacket source?

I really like the look of the kilt paired with the Ike/Eisenhower jacket as mentioned by Thompson (and which can be seen in the infamous Remembrance Day photo... http://www.snopes.com/photos/risque/queen.asp ). However, I'd much rather have a black jacket than a green one. After days of sporadic searching, the only thing I could find was this:

I'm not sure if the big buttons would make it a bit too dressy for everyday wear. Anyone know of any other sources for black Ike jackets?

Point of clarification: the jacket in the infamous photo is a No. 2 "cutaway" dress tunic -- the "Ike Jacket" (Battle dress blouse to the Brits) is actually a short "shell jacket". with a built-in belt.

The No. 2 is shortened to show the pleats, and "cut away" in the middle so as not to cover the sporran.

No offence meant, S_P, just pointing this out to help anyone looking for an Ike Jacket.

As far as a black one, I don't know of any -- the British, Aussies, Canucks and Yanks had Olive Drab and/or Khahki, although the Royal Navy had a dark blue one and the RAF a blue one, as well as the US Air Force.

I have a War 2 jacket similar to an Ike jacket from them (gallery with tri color kilt photos) but don't see it in their current catalog.

They are a great source for War 2 flight jackets, A-2 Mark 31, A-2 Mark 41, A-2 Mark 43, AN-J-3, Navy M-422A, Flying Tigers A-2, Navy G-1, even a French Air Force blue leaather flight jacket, German Luftwaffe leather flight jacket, Air Corps B-3 bomber jacket, and a bunch of civilian adventure and motorcycle jackets and...sadly probably too long for a kilt, a leather Hudson Police Coat.

They also have a lot of cloth military jackets too.

Their GB-1/A Mountain Cloth flight jacket is very similar to an Ike jacket and comes in black for $108

Jeez...me neither, sorry. You might try ordering their catalog, which is where I got the info from. They may show more products in the catalog than on line.

look in your local phone book for a uniform supply store. security companies use ike jackets in their uniforms

I was at an antique store the other day and saw one for a somewhat reasonable price ($75.00 US), but saw another one for 6 times that, but neitherr one fit me.
